SUMMARY: An Account Executive is a valuable partner within the assigned client team. This position will help the Client be successful at executing, managing and leading the programs on which we are working. Importantly, to provide the strategic leadership that will result in Pii developing and receiving new business. Account Executives will deal with pre-sale and post-sale contact with clients including handling the day to day tasks involved with a project(s). An Account Executive maintains and works to enhance the direct client relationship and is responsible for communicating the customer’s expectations, project specifications and changes to project specifications to internal and external personnel.

REPORTS TO: Account Supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBLITIES: The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required. Other duties may be assigned

  • Assist the sales rep with reviewing project proposals and determining the time needed to complete a proposed project.
  • Document and communicate project requirements, prepares timelines and ensures deadlines are met.
  • Monitor job profitability by comparing job quotes to job cost reports and having a general understanding of the overall production processes.
  • Problem solve by prioritizing and identifying concerns, developing a course of action, implementing the plan of action and measuring the effectiveness with minimal direction.
  • Follow production requirements as outlined in the ISO 2000 standard and as required by internal production system.
  • Assign project tasks to necessary internal personnel
  • Handle all aspects of billing including invoicing, credit card protocol (if applicable to project), collections and sales by state and work in process reporting.
  • Maintain project documentation
  • Inform / train personnel, as needed in other functional areas on project specifications
  • Serve as a backup for fellow Account Executives.
  • Implement continuous improvement measures on assigned accounts.
  • Develop relationships with the customer(s)
  • Mentor Junior Account Executive
  • Having / Maintaining Industry Knowledge

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
No supervisory/management responsibilities.

NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with project team to increase revenue opportunities within the account(s).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing or other related fields required
  • 1 – 3 years of Marketing knowledge, e. Commerce, ad agency, graphic arts or printing experience required
  • 1 – 3 years prior experience in customer service or call center environment helpful

COGNITIVE LISTENING: Pertaining to the mental processes of perceiving, thinking, and remembering; Awareness with perception, reasoning and judgment; ability to think, learn and retain.

TECHNICAL: Translate technology requirements from internal personnel to external customer and vice versa. Become familiar with basic creative design and layout as it relates to project and processes. Learn internal software applications as required by account. Learn, comprehend and utilize web and data development concepts to coordinate the development of technical solutions.

DECISION MAKING: Ability to collect the necessary information and listen to others to make decisions regarding project(s) and processes. Scans the environment, identifies issues and opportunities, evaluates options, assesses risk, and establishes strategic direction.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Work with a variety of personalities and skill sets across Units and / or departments and across facilities. Understands internal and external customers’ business needs, clarifies understanding of customer needs, creates win/win solutions, maintains customer trust, ensures that customer needs are met, develops a partnering relationship

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical operations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to compute ratios and percentages.

PRIORITIZATION: Handle frequent interruptions yet refocus on the task at hand or determine the most important tasks. Adapt to a fast paced, high stress and changing environment.

ORGANIZATION: Ensure information can be found easily and tasks are completed on time. Pay attention to details. Maintain accuracy and quality. Establishes expectations, prioritized, schedules and sequences, identifies and leverages resources, and evaluates and acts.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: (to include technical/equipment skill capabilities, regulatory and/or licensing requirements)

  • Microsoft Office product suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
  • Travel may be required based on requests by customer and management
